Recommendation for "Barking Buoys"

by Peggy Huscher

I actually got a book read! It’s been a while. For the last few years I have resorted to listening to books while I drive. And now I prefer hearing the voices and sound effects that are a part of audio books. Anyway, the book I read: "Barking Buoys" by Talyah Kieterson.

She writes of her childhood, that was not at all the childhood of anyones dreams, and how she turned to her dogs as a way to get through the bad times. Her book was a bit of a downer, and I would have liked to gotten to know the dogs a little better. That being said, I think anyone living through stressful times or having lived through a tough childhood-would benefit from reading this well written book.

I have always known that dogs were saving graces. Dogs are such caring creatures. Last week, an over whelming sense of sadness came over me while I was reading something online. Wolfie practically hurled himself onto my lap, which is something he doesn’t do often when I am working at my desk. I wish everyone in the world the experience of a canine bond!
